The Olympus 300 digital camera is the model at the entry level of the Stylus range of cameras, and as such it makes an ideal choice for someone just starting out with photography. Although there are limits, such as you cannot submerge the camera in water, it is durable enough to weather any normal weather conditions. The cheap price also means that, as with all of the other Olympus cameras in the Stylus range, you will need to invest in a memory upgrade unless you are going to be an incredibly light user. This appears to be the standard practice with all camera models, as even those at the top of the range only come with limited memory. A spare battery is always a good idea, although this specific model does have a good battery life.
